New resources to help practices use HIPs, Health Coaches and Support Workers

Te Tumu Waiora Canterbury have developed three short videos to help practices know more about what HIPs, Health Coaches and Support Workers do and how to integrate them into the practice team.

How does a warm handover work

One of the advantages of having a HIP and Health Coach in practice is being able to connect patients directly with them - what we call a warm handover. This short video shows how it can be done easily and quickly - no referral is needed and the personal connection means people are much more likely to access support.

Te Tumu Waiora Clinical Champions

Our GP Lead, Dr Lizzie Loudon talks about the importance of having a clinical champion in practice to guide integration the roles and identify what patient groups or pathways HIPs and Health Coaches will focus on.
